In this non-official round of the Eurocup-3 series, drivers were able to practice for the real deal. The first official round will take place in Spa-Francorchamps next month. This didn’t mean that it wasn’t a great watch last weekend. Valerio managed to qualify at P2 and pole, with Javier following him up with a P3 qualification in both sessions. Owen got a P4 and P5, and Emmo finished the MP grid by qualifying at P6 and P10.
The first race started with an exciting fight between Christian Ho, Valerio, and Javier. Javier ended the fight on top with Valerio right behind him, but couldn’t hold him off much longer. The Italian overtook his teammate and finished first, with Javier in P2. Owen made the podium turn fully orange by finishing in the third position. Emmo held his position well and finished at P6.
In the second race, Valerio was focused on making it a double this weekend, which he did. He started on pole, finished on pole, and claimed his second victory of the weekend. Owen challenged the full race for a podium spot but wasn’t able to grab P3 due to a safety car and had to settle for P4. Emmo managed to overtake a total of four drivers and finished at P7. Javier had to retire his car unfortunately due to technical issues with the car.
Javier, Owen, and Emmo are going to prepare for the upcoming Eurocup-3 season, while Valerio will participate in the FRECA season starting in May. Stay tuned for news and follow the socials to stay up to date!
