Leading Dutch single-seater team MP Motorsport has signed Alessandro Giusti for its 2025 FIA Formula 3 Championship challenge. The talented Frenchman moves up after two seasons in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) to join Tim Tramnitz and Bruno del Pino in the team.
Giusti made his debut with MP’s F3 squad at the recent collective tests at Jérez and Barcelona. The 18-year-old Williams Racing Academy driver demonstrated that he belongs in the category by producing consistent midfield times, as he ended up 12th fastest at Barcelona. Meanwhile at Jérez, Giusti showed he was quick to adapt to a new environment by setting the eighth fastest time in the opening session.
“I’m excited to step up to Formula 3 with MP Motorsport”, said Giusti. “Our first tests together at Jérez and Barcelona were highly promising which is a good sign for my rookie season in the category. It’s my aim to know the team better as we head into the coming season, especially with the new F3-2025 car. I can’t wait to make my F3 debut at Melbourne in March!”
“It’s wonderful to be able to announce Tim, Bruno and Alessandro at such an early date”, said Sander Dorsman, MP Motorsport’s team principal. “This will allow our FIA F3 squad to focus on a productive winter of development with the new Dallara F3-2025 car while forging a cooperative bond between our drivers. Alessandro has proved to be a hugely talented driver who I’m sure will quickly find his feet in this highly competitive feeder series on the road to Formula 1. As we have seen in Formula 2 this year, a new car will be a bonus for the championship’s rookies, as it will provide a level playing field for all. I’m confident that Alessandro will be among the drivers to benefit from that.”
French 2022 Formula 4 champion Alessandro Giusti will arrive in FIA F3 on the back of four very strong seasons in single-seaters. A two-year campaign in French F4 convincingly netted him the title in 2022, after which his FRECA debut season produced three wins, four podiums, two poles and three fastest laps. In his second season, with more wins in the bag, he finished at an extremely close fourth position in the championship. Alessandro Giusti is now supported by French entrepreneur Alexandre Muillez in his racing career.
