Straight off the back of an eventful Monaco GP, we ended the original triple header (that became a doubleheader because of the floods in the Emilia-Romagna region) in Barcelona. With a podium for Jehan in Monaco, the team was motivated to get up there again.
Free practice on Friday morning promised a pretty good weekend, with Dennis ending the session in P3 and Jehan in P4. Qualifying later in the day was difficult as we were on a different strategy with getting our laps in early, with tyre degradation playing a huge part on the Barcelona circuit. We were setting good times in our early runs, which was good enough for a P6 for Dennis and a P15 for Jehan.
The Sprint Race saw changing conditions in the weather, making it a difficult race. What started off in the rain and ended completely dry. Dennis ended the Sprint Race just outside the podium in P4, with Jehan having an unfortunate DNF on the last lap when colliding with Roy Nissany.
The next Formula 2 race is the last of the current triple header, following this weekend in Barcelona.
